When it comes to the engine of the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, drivers have two options. First, there’s a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque. This engine is offered with the ES, LE, and SE trim levels. Then, there’s a more powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 168 hp and 167 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with the GT trim. Each trim level comes standard with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available as an option. While the ES trim gets you a five-speed manual transmission, all other trim levels provide a continuously variable automatic transmission.
