From Pleasanton to Kansas City, our local area is full of great people, organizations, and causes that we are proud to play a part in. Our team is proud to help area drivers discover great vehicles and do even more to help our community flourish.

Oakes Auto is proud to give back to multiple groups through our community outreach program. There’s plenty to appreciate in our area, and we love taking a role in it. Here are just some of the organizations that we are partnered with.

Our team is partnered with many great causes, events, and programs that make our area an even better place to be. We love being an active member in our corner of the Sunflower and Show-Me States, making life better for so many people.

Toys for Tots of Kansas City

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, created by the Marine Corps, was first established in 1991. The goal of Toys for Tots is to help develop the nation’s most valuable asset - our children. They do this by allowing less fortunate children throughout the United States to experience the joy of the holiday season.

Operation Breakthrough

Founded in Kansas City, Missouri in 1971, Operation Breakthrough’s original mission was to address quality child-care needs for the working poor. The program started with 50 children but has since expanded to serving more than 400 children and families each day.

They provide children and families in need with a safe and educational environment. They support community members in a variety of ways, including on-site meals, health services, Early Childhood Education, and parent programming. They recently partnered with Eight-Seven & Running, Chiefs Travis Kelce’s non-profit organization, to open the Ignition Lab. Here, teenagers spend time gaining real-world experience in automotive, engineering, and other industries.

American Heart Association of Kansas City

The AHA of Kansas City is a nonprofit organization that funds cardiovascular research and educates the public on healthy living. Their goal is to reduce disability and deaths caused by cardiovascular stroke and disease.

KCMO Angels

The KCMO Angels are dedicated to providing support and care for children, youth, and families who are part of the foster care system. They do so via a variety of different programs, including charitable donations, relationship building, and mentoring. Giving kids in need these vital supports is an investment in the future of our community.

We’re proud to sponsor the KCMO Angels in their ongoing work for advocacy. With programs to give kids what they need to succeed, this group is truly a worthy cause full of dedicated individuals.

Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House of Kansas City keeps families together when they need it most. Every night, nearly 100 families are supported by this organization as children undergo treatment for illnesses. The Ronald McDonald House makes it possible for families to stay with one another during those trying times.

Thanks to both donations and volunteer work, this organization is able to help give people hope in a time when they need it. The Ronald McDonald House helps parents stay close to their child while they are at nearby medical facilities so they can continue to support their families. They’ve been helping make miracles happen for over 40 years, and we’re proud to help be a part in their mission.

Kansas City Mom Collective

The Kansas City Mom Collective first began in 2012. They are committed to creating a supportive community, both online and in person, for Kansas City women and their families.

They connect users to businesses and resources in the area to encourage women on their parenting journey. Additionally, they create content and blogs centered around topics such as health and wellness, marriage, pregnancy, and postpartum experiences.

KCMO Angels

Sunflower to Roses Bike Event

This annual bike tour is a great way to get out and get active for a worthy cause! Riders participate and collect donations to S2R in their fight against cancer. Participants get to take part in a fun filled day of cycling and a post-ride party, all in the name of a great cause.

The group was founded by a group of friends to honor the memories of peers who fought against cancer. That has evolved into an exciting annual event where people get on their bikes and hit the trail in the name of raising awareness and funds to combat cancer. It’s a group with a great vision that we are proud to support and sponsor.

Snake Saturday Parade

The Snake Saturday Parade in North Kansas City, Missouri has been celebrating Irish heritage and philanthropy for over 40 Years! Each year, they have family-oriented festivities and contests. Snake Saturday Parade & Festival awards cash prizes to 50 –100 local charities, approximately 2 million dollars to date.

Melissa's Second Chances is a Shawnee-based 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue that finds homes and safe refuge for dogs, cats, and small mammals in need of a second chance. With a 99% save rate, they operate primarily through foster homes and have helped over 1,000 animals find their forever families since 2019.

New Hope Food Pantry

The New Hope Food Pantry provides emergency food assistance to families in Johnson, Wyandotte, and Miami Counties with dignity, respect, and love. Operating since 2011 in partnership with Harvesters, the pantry serves thousands of residents annually and is open Monday through Friday from 1-6pm.
