Every 33 seconds, one person dies from cardiovascular disease in the United States.* That's why, for the second year in a row, Oakes Auto employees got moving in February to support the American Heart Association of Kansas City.

Moving for Heart Health

Team members from Oakes Ford, Oakes Kia, and Oakes Buick GMC tracked their miles walked, biked, and ran throughout the month. For every mile logged, Oakes Auto pledged a donation to AHA of KC, turning movement into meaningful impact.

This year, 25 dedicated team members crushed their goals, covering a total of 1,236 miles! Not only did they support a great cause, but they also made heart health a priority by staying active all month long.

To make things even more exciting, we introduced a friendly competition with prizes for the top three employees who logged the most miles. And the winners are...

First Place: Eulogio Tovar (Kia) - 185 miles
Second Place: Jesus Perez (Kia) - 174 miles
Third Place: Lyric Kimley (Kia) - 117 miles
