Trims Offered on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander
The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in five unique trim levels: ES, SE, LE, SEL, and GT. This seven-passenger crossover SUV is a great choice for those looking for extra space for passengers and cargo. Let’s examine each trim a bit more closely.
The base EX offers a 7-inch touchscreen display, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, LED running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth®* connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, a rearview camera, a CD player, a 50/50-split third row seat, a USB port, cruise control, LED taillights, voice controls, a 60/40-split folding second row seat, and a height-adjustable driver seat.
The SE gains satellite radio, fog lights, Apple CarPlay, keyless ignition and entry, an electronic parking brake, heated front seats, Android Auto, and turn signals in the mirror housings.
Drivers who choose the LE will receive rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, black roof rails, and black exterior trim.
The SEL comes with an auto-dimming rearview mirror, gloss-black interior trim, automatic headlights, leather upholstery, a power driver seat, a power liftgate, automatic wipers, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, power-folding mirrors, and the contents from the SE trim level. To add even more features, you can equip the SEL with the Premium package which gets you LED fog lights, a heated steering wheel, LED headlights, a 360-degree parking camera system, a sunroof, and a nine-speaker Rockford Fosgate audio system. There’s also a SEL Touring package which comes with lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and automatic high beams.
The top trim level, the GT, provides chrome exterior accents and steering-wheel shift paddles. Optional features include a rear-seat entertainment system, tow hitch, and remote engine start.
As far as engine options are concerned, drivers have a few choices. First of all, the base engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that delivers 166 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional. The GT trim, however, gets you a 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 224 hp and 215 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and comes in all-wheel drive.
