Everyone was very kind to us. I would recommend this dealership to everyone. They were very efficient and patient. They answered all our questions, and we had a lot (teenager car)! They do not work on commissions so there was no pressure, no hassle, and no xx! Best experience I have ever had at a dealership!

Cam Mathis is the guy to see here at Oakes. His helpfulness from beginning to end of the process was bar none. It was my first time buying a vehicle remotely and he made the whole process so easy. All I had to do was show up grab my keys and go get some KC BBQ, at a place he recommended as well. The whole team at Oakes seems top notch but Cam is definitely among the best.

Took my 2012 Kia Sportage purchased from a friend for my grandson. Requested recalls (6) be performed and oil change, multipoint inspection and Mo vehicle inspection. Appointment set for today at 0715 but dropped off last night to Corey. Got text at 1330 that all was completed. Picked up at 1530 and visited with Corey. He is definitely a keeper! 1. Attention to detail 2. Courteous 3. kept timely updates 4. Explained all work 5. Walked me to vehicle to make certain I wasn't blocked in. This is how Customer Service should be---Thanks

I was there last Saturday and purchased my 4th new Kia from Oakes. Jonah was very eager to assist and was very helpful. He even handled my demand of test driving the car to my house to ensure it fit in my garage. After I left the lot I had something come up. I was in the market for a car and honestly expected the whole process to be stressful, but Anh made it surprisingly easy from start to finish. He took the time to figure out exactly what I was looking for, answered all of my questions, and never made me feel pressured into buying something I didn't want. What I appreciated most was how genuine he was. He was knowledgeable, patient, and easy to talk to, which made a huge difference. It never felt like he was just trying to make a sale. It felt like he actually wanted to help me find the right vehicle and make sure I left happy. Buying a car is a big decision, and thanks to Anh, it ended up being one of the best dealership experiences I've had. We drove all the way to Olathe from Columbia, MO because it was the only dealership we found that had the trim level and color we wanted for our new Sportage. We had several phone calls preceding our visit, and Ryan had everything ready for us to sign and the car was ready to go. Ryan took the time to put the new plates on both the front and back of the car, and went through key features with us. The finance process was a little longer than we expected as Ezra was trying to sell us an extended warranty package, but he was pleasant to work with and respectful of our wishes. Everyone was friendly and easy to work with. The only real problem we had was finding a place to park when we got there! It is a very large, busy dealership.

Richard Dobbeleare in service took very great care of me. We found out there was a system error with my account but also needed my engine checked. Long story short, I was in a loaner for 40 days while the system error was corrected and received a new engine that fell under warranty. Richard made sure I did not pay a dime for my loaner since the original error was on Kia. While my car was with them, Richard communicated weekly updates with me. Anytime I have to bring my car in for maintenance, I look forward to seeing Richard. His staff is great and working with any one of them is a pleasure!

Richard Dobbeleare in service took very great care of me. We found out there was a system error with my account but also needed my engine checked. Long story short, I was in a loaner for 40 days while the system error was corrected and received a new engine that fell under warranty. Richard made sure I did not pay a dime for my loaner since the original error was on Kia. While my car was with them, Richard communicated weekly updates with me. Anytime I have to bring my car in for maintenance, I look forward to seeing Richard. His staff is great and working with any one of them is a pleasure!

Oakes what was not my first visit, but it was pleasantly my last. I had been to 2 other Kia dealerships in the Independence/Kansas City metro area. Let me say ... I was not pleased by either & horrified by my last—I walked out. Then I researched Oakes Kia, looked at stock, called & made an appointment. Glad I did! I was greeted by my sales person, Karen Suarez, walked to her desk & got right to work. Told her I was looking for a new Kai Soul, but they had none in stock. I also told her I'd look at newer used Souls. Karen found two that met my needs & we went for test drives. All during the time we were driving she was feeding me information about newer electronic/tech feature of that model, the difference between the 2 models I chose & learned a bit about each other as time passed. At no time did I feel pressured into a sale (even though I DID want to buy a car that day). Karen was warm, friendly, congenial, and well informed about the cars we drove. SHE KNEW HER STUFF! When it came time to decide & make the purchase & get an out the door cash price—the whole team was on top of it! Unlike "other dealers" Oakes Kia made the process as painless & as quick as possible. No mind games. No bait and switch. No "extras" on the invoice I did not already know about. What a breath of fresh air! Karen got ALL my questions & concerns answered & very quickly too. Once all the paperwork was complete, car paid for, and I was ready to go—Karen was kind enough to follow me to Enterprise rental to drop off my rental. She went that extra (hundred) mile(s). The whole team did. AWESOME! I don't know in all my 66 years I've ever had a MORE pleasant car purchasing experience. And That's not just hyperbole. I wasn't rushed. I was well attended to. I worked with Nathan and he was very helpful and tried his best to get something done on my car. He opened a new case up with Kia, but Kia has been unable to fix my car. Both of the TV's on the backs of my seat rattle and my car has been in the shop 6 or 7 times for this issue. I have had 2 cases opened up with Kia headquarters and keep being told they are not sure how to fix it at this time. The first case was closed by my Rep without me knowing because I wouldn't accept his $1,000 offer. I told him I wasn't looking for money I wanted my car fixed. This issue started a month after I bought my car. I am also still having issues with the sensor on the front right side of my car, it was replaced on my last visit and still doesn't seem to be working properly. This is the first Kia I have ever bought and I have to say I have NOT been impressed at all for what I paid for my car and the issues I have had. Plus being told we don't know how to fix it, and being inconvenienced by all the trips to the dealership. Come on Kia do better!!

I brought my 2023 Seltos in for the first oil change, and I also had a concern about a check engine light that came on and later went off. Jarrod checked me in and gave me a tour of the service center waiting area and let me know that they would check for any stored codes. My vehicle was ready in about an hour. Jarrod went over everything that they did and said that there were no stored codes and everything checked out ok. He was very pleasant and did not try to mansplain things to me, which can be rare when you are a single woman dealing with car stuff. The one negative I have isn't related to Jarrod or my service appointment, but more at the lack of ability to contact anyone at the dealership to ask questions. When I had a check engine light come on in my brand new vehicle, that's a bit concerning. I pulled the active code myself and it was a cylinder 2 misfire. I wanted to call and ask if I should bring it in asap or if it could wait a few days. I called the main number and was routed to the service center. The only option it would give me was to be texted a link to make an appointment or to leave a message. I left a message but no one ever called me back, who knows where my message went. I understand it's a busy dealership and service center, but it would be nice to be able to get a call back for something that could be minor or something serious.

We drove all the way to Olathe from Columbia, MO because it was the only dealership we found that had the trim level and color we wanted for our new Sportage. We had several phone calls preceding our visit, and Ryan had everything ready for us to sign and the car was ready to go. Ryan took the time to put the new plates on both the front and back of the car, and went through key features with us. The finance process was a little longer than we expected as Ezra was trying to sell us an extended warranty package, but he was pleasant to work with and respectful of our wishes. Everyone was friendly and easy to work with. The only real problem we had was finding a place to park when we got there! It is a very large, busy dealership.

I am very pleased with Oakes Kia. I have purchased three cars from there in the last six months. The last one I purchased was a replacement for a smaller car that I just wanted a bigger car and purchased a carnivalminivan. Lyric, Chuck, and Meaghan are outstanding. They are not high-pressure and they provide the outstanding customer support that I’m sure Kia expects from them. I feel really comfortable when I’m buying a car dealing with these three as I know that I’m getting a fair deal and they’re not giving me any malarky. I will highly recommend Oakes Kia to other individuals and ask that they see Chuck, Lyric and Meaghan. Truly outstanding group of people to work with and I’ve gone and had service their twice for oil changed already and that has been excellent also.

I was greeted when I walked in the door with a friendly smile asking how they could help me. When I was interested in test driving a car, a sales person was there shortly to help me. Listened to what I needed and I test drove the Sportage and Sorento a couple times.
